Chisel hammers are used in many industries because according to their different weight classes.
Main applications in foundries are fettling and deburring work, applications in the heavy industry as well as in the construction industry (breaking, demolition work).
Weight classes
Chisel hammers are available in the following weight classes:
- 0,76 -1,26 kg
- 1,30 – 3,50 kg
- 4,0 – 7,0 kg
8,5 kg and above is the weight class of the pick hammers.
- 8,5 – 22,0 kg
Designs available
Chisel hammers are available in the following designs:
- Chisel hammers with guided air exhaust
- with catch for quick chisel change
- with screw cap
- with retaining spring
- with vibration dampening system
- with open or closed handle grip
- with T-bar handle(construction hammers)
- with vibration dampening in the handle

Chisels
The suitable chisels are of utmost importance for the lifetime. This is related to the material quality and the design tolerance of the insert end. Low quality, worn or wrong insert ends cause a high wear on the guide sleeve which ends in an early repair.
